Food and wine is culture, but also a connection link between tourists and a territory: food and wine are, in fact, expressions of a place and its population, and at the same time are elements of identification and differentiation, becoming instruments of cultural and anthropological transformation. By exploring the Italian regions that have gained recognition for their landscapes, and presenting networks of cities that unveiled places of unexpected historical, cultural and environmental significance with the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the session will discuss issues related to the promotion of these sites and their link with Food & Wine tourism.
Introduces Roberta Garibaldi, President of the Italian Food and Wine Tourism Association.
