Strategy and Digital Communication in Tourism

Digital marketing professional in tourism, lecturer and journalist. A key player in the Italian localisation of trivago, Eremita joined the German company from the start-up phase in 2008, successfully handling the launch and consolidation of the Metasearch engine in Italy, first as Country Manager and then as Industry Manager for the positioning of trivago's hotelier solutions. Giulia actively collaborates with Consorzio Uno of Oristano/the University of Cagliari as a teacher of tourism web marketing; she is currently marketing and communication manager and coordinator of some projects such as "Maristanis" for MEDSEA Foundation, AperiTurismo, Wine Tourism Digital Camp for Consorzio UNO, STR Forward Sardegna for STR.com. Speaker at sector events, she is a scientific member of BTO - Buy Tourism Online in Florence - coordinator of the Digital & Innovation themes for the last two editions of the event. She has been a freelance journalist since 2003.

For 16 years in the hospitality industry, she has always worked as a strategic leader in Total Revenue Management, dealing with rooms, F&B and Catering & Banqueting revenue. She has supervised major repositioning projects, new openings and acquisitions within her area of expertise. After 13 years in a chain with Starwood Hotels&Resorts - working as Area Director of Revenue for iconic properties in the luxury segment - she entered the world of independent hotels to complete her training. She founded Revenue Acrobats (consulting, mentoring and coaching services in strategic - revenue and commercial areas). Teacher and trainer, mother and tireless worker: she believes in the value of experience and constant learning to continually improve. She participates in numerous Italian and international Hospitality events. She leads the Italian chapter of Raizup, a non-profit community that promotes female empowerment, education and career development.

Simone Puorto is a journalist specialised in travel tech, podcaster, consultant, author of two best sellers on hotel marketing, writer for the leading blogs in the sector, MBA professor, Advisory Board Member for BWG Strategy, founder and CEO of the travel consulting firm Singularity, CMO for TelltheHotel and co-founder of FunnelTV. He was General Manager for a chain of boutique hotels and VP Global Accounts & Quality Manager for a French-American web agency. He has provided consulting services to hotel groups such as Divani Hotels Collection and LOUIS Group in Greece, Library Hotels Collection in the US, Tiara Hotels & Resorts in France, Louis T Collection in China and The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts in Asia and Europe. He has helped consolidate a major hotel chain, acting as an advisor to countless start-ups. He calls himself a "Renaissance Futurist," advocating values such as biohacking, cyborg and animal rights. He lives and works in both Paris and Rome.

After working in the publishing industry and as a buyer in supermarkets, he has been working in online technology and digital tourism distribution since 2000. As a salesperson, he developed markets for various products and services until he launched the first Italian channel manager (2004). He has worked with some of the leading companies in IT sales in the Hospitality market. Since 2012 he has been working with QNT Simple Booking as Senior Sales and Business Evangelist. At QNT, he gained solid experience in Hotel Digital Marketing. At present, he is mainly involved in developing international markets, building a solid network of partners. Attentive to technological and procedural innovation, he has followed the tourism market's significant evolutions over the last 20 years, cultivating direct relationships with a vast range of national and global players. He has a degree in Political Science and specialisations in Corporate Marketing and Sales Management.
