Beyond the crisis: bottom-up strategies for recovery

What strategies have Italian facilities adopted for overcoming the Covid19 health emergency? Many of the solutions adopted for the relaunch have been and are still based on sustainability, seasonal adjustment and enhancing "other" destinations far removed from over-tourism. During the meeting good practice to foster recovery will be presented, as implemented by tour operators of various sizes. Key words are influx, inclusion, safety, innovation (digital and otherwise), active participation of the public and private sectors and enhancing territorial excellence.

Consultant for funded training Expert in Integrated Development Policies Sustainable

She has always been engaged in the training system (system governance, design, and delivery) and in integrated policies for sustainable territorial development. She provides consultancy and works as a temporary manager (strategic and scientific management, institutional relations, lobbying and advocacy) for public, and private companies, universities, training bodies and associations that represent various interests. She teaches people to correctly deploy training to meet demand and to identify appropriate funding to support growth and development. She has founded several start-ups, and a consortium of companies (AssoMec), aimed at studying, experimenting with and unfolding demand for training by organizations and individuals. She has been a speaker at institutional conferences, the author of several articles and publications, and writes as columnist for Pro Labour in ilfattoquotidiano.it and in the Going Local column at vivivarese.it.

Nicolò Costa

He has been involved in tourism and its sectoral inter-dependence since the mid-1980s. He was Coordinator for the Degree Course in 'Tourism Sciences' at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, after holding the same role at the University of Milano Bicocca. Amongst his most recent books are: 'Tourism Development. Theories, Strategies and Knowledge Management' (Wolters Kluwer Cedam (2021), ‘Sociology of Tourism Development' (Wolters Kluwer/Cedam, 2017), 'Tourism and Jihadist Terrorism' (Rubbettino, 2016), 'Towards Made in Italy Hospitality' (Armando, 2013) and, together with Silvia Testa, 'Web Marketing and Hospitality Destinations' (McGraw Hill, 2012), and with Giorgio de Rossi 'Networks of Business and Hospitality' (Universitalia, 2016). He is the author of about 50 publications in Italian, English, and French. He is a consultant for tourism, hospitality, and leisure companies in addition to local authorities for the planning of local tourism development.
