Lara Magoni

Councilor for Tourism, Territorial Marketing and Fashion of the Regione Lombardia

Born in Alzano Lombardo (BG) on 29 January 1969, and originally from Selvino (BG), Lara Magoni dedicated the first half of her life to sport, specifically alpine skiing - initially as a multi-purpose athlete and later specialising in slalom - with an outstanding track record. She then went on to become a Goodwill Ambassador for Unicef, article editor for specialist magazines, sports commentator and presenter for national radio and television networks, as well as a politician. She started as a Regional Councillor and then became the Lombardy Councillor for Tourism, Local Marketing and Fashion. She is also Bergamasque Prealps entrepreneur, running a family hotel business.

Giorgio Palmucci

President of Enit

Giorgio Palmucci is one of the leading managers in the Italian tourism industry. He is currently the Chairman of ENIT — the Italian Government Tourist Board. As a private company manager with extensive experience, he accepted the challenge of chairing ENIT to make himself available to the sector through a public role. He has been at the forefront of the travel industry’s community since the ‘90s. The approach to tourism he developed working with the hotel group Confindustria Alberghi allows him to have a wide-ranging strategic viewpoint. He started out in the industry as a young man, immediately taking on positions of responsibility with multinational corporations such as Club Med, a global leader in the holiday village sector. After Club Med, he became CEO and General Manager of Hotelturist S.p.a., a hotel chain operating in Italy as TH Resorts, building the brand and revising the corporate structure.

Luca Scandale

Coordinator of the “Puglia365” Strategic Tourism Plan of Puglia Promento

Since March 2016, Luca Scandale has been the Coordinator for the Strategic Tourism Plan "Puglia365" for the Region of Puglia. His role involves coordinating, directing and drafting the strategic tourism plan consisting of vision, strategy, design and governance. In addition, he is responsible for coordinating forums for active stakeholder participation concerning hosting, products, promotion, innovation, training and infrastructure. Last but not least, his role involves networking and building rapport with socio-economic partners and the Region of Puglia’s offices to draw up a tourism marketing and planning tool. A University of Bari graduate, Luca has experience as a guest lecturer on the Tourism Marketing and Tourism Business Strategy course. He has worked as a lecturer in the Economics of Art, Culture and Cinema.

Giacomo Trovato

Airbnb Country Manager Italy and South East Europe

From Como, 48 years old, Trovato has extensive experience in e-commerce, as well as banking and insurance. He guides Airbnb's development within an area that includes some of the world's most significant destination markets (Italy, Croatia, Greece and Turkey). He holds a degree in Economic Policy from the Bocconi University in Milan and an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management. After gaining consultancy experience with A.T. Kearney, he worked as a Sales Manager for Genworth Financial and as a Product Manager for CheBanca! Between 2012 and 2019 he worked for Amazon Italy, initially as a Category Leader in Books, later expanding his responsibilities to all Media products and, for the last 3 years, to the consumer electronics sector for Italy and Spain.

Francesco Palumbo

Director of Toscana Tourism Promotion

Francesco Palumbo, with a PhD in ‘Economic, mathematical and statistical analyses of social phenomena", is currently Director of the Tuscany Regional Government Agency for promoting tourism. Previously, he was the General Tourism Director for MiBACT, Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism in Italy. Until 2015, he was the Director of the City of Rome’s 'Enhancement of Cultural Heritage' Board. From 2008 to 2015, he was the Area Policy Director for Puglia’s Regional Tourism, Knowledge and Talent Board which the Cultural Heritage, Entertainment and Culture, Mediterranean Tourism, University Schools and Research sectors depend on. He was the European Asse IV PO FESR Funds Manager from 2007-2013 for the Region of Puglia and managed the FSC Funds from 2007-2015. He has been a guest lecturer in Economic Policy, International Economic Policy and Environmental Economics at the Sapienza University of Rome.

First Class degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from Turin University, started her career while at University in the sales department of a Timber Import/Export Business rising to Commercial Manager. In 1990 moved into Publishing and until 2005 worked as Editor on TTG Italia, working with overseas journals (Echo Touristique, France and Fvw, Germany). Attended a finance seminar for journalists at the Milan Stock Exchange. Since 2003 has worked with Il Sole 24 Ore on the tourism page.
