The exit from the pandemic has led the car rental world to be even more flexible and closer to travellers. Those who don't want to give up the convenience of moving around in total freedom and safety now require modular formulas, latest-generation technology, ancillary services and also attention to the environment.

Aniasa General Director

Giuseppe Benincasa began his career in 1982, winning the public competition for managers and executives in the Confindustria system. Since 1983, he has been working in the trades union area as the person responsible for renewing collective bargaining agreements in the services and transport area. Since 1984, he has been involved in car rental. In 1991, he joined the Federation of Service Enterprises as head of the car rental, railway procurement, ports and helicopters sectors. The following year, together with Assolombarda, he set up Ancis, a certification company in the world of services. Since 1993, under the coordination of President Cassano, he has been coordinating economic and operating policies with the national airport system. In 2010, with the then president Roberto Lucchini and immediately after his appointment as secretary general, he finalised Aniasa's entry as a direct member of Confindustria.

Massimo Scantamburlo

Sales director Hertz Italia

Massimo Scantamburlo is an engineer with a passion for marketing and sales. He has spent his entire career in the automotive world. He has been with Hertz Italiana since 2013 as sales director for the areas of rent a car, premium fleet (including Selezione Italia), commercial vehicles and car sharing. Previously he worked in positions of increasing responsibility in the automotive sector at Fca and Mazda Motor Italia. Positions held include sales, marketing and customer service management.

Gianluca Testa

Managing director Southern Europe Avis Budget Group

Gianluca Testa has been leading the Avis Budget Group in Italy since October 2013. He has a perfect knowledge of the company, where he has held various positions with increasing responsibility in Italy, France and the UK since 2003. He graduated in economics from La Sapienza University in Rome and honed his skills in business administration and corporate strategy first at Ashridge Business School and then at the prestigious Insead in Fontainebleau. As Operation Director, first in Italy, then in France and subsequently for the entire EMEA region, he achieved significant results in terms of increased turnover and overall efficiency, expanded the group's sales network and managed major acquisitions.

Giancarlo Vitale

Head of the Marketing and Digital Sales area of Leasys Rent SpA

Giancarlo Vitale's career has developed in sales and marketing. After a brief stint in the sports marketing sector, he has been working in the short-term rental sector for over 20 years, for the last two as Head of Marketing and Digital Sales for Leasys Rent SpA on the Italian market, a short-term rental company part of the Fca Bank group. A pioneer of new forms of mobility based on digital platforms, among its recently launched successful programmes are Leasys CarCloud and CarBox.
